The Ramblin' Rocks in the Philippines
The Ramblin' Rocks been on their biggest journey, we just back from the Philippines where we visited the world famous rice terraces in Banaue. Unfortunately we did not all make it back, more on that later.
Our goal was actually not the rice terraces but the breathtaking Tappiyah Falls, that's this magic place my passion for Rock Balancing had its first spark.
But first we visited a fellow Rock Balancer and friend in the surroundings of Manila. We had not much time but enough for a few hours to go practice our passion...
Thanks Boboy for the hospitality ;)
Next day a long bus ride was on the plan and since I had lots of time in Manila I took my rocks had a look around for good urban balance spots. Manila has crazy traffic problems, rush hour which starts 5 in the morning till 9ish at night with a small decrease during mitt day. I wanted to combine the hustle of that chaos with the calmness of the Ramblin' Rocks. Here is what I got...
On the following day the Ramblin' Rocks finally reached the Tappiyah Falls , it is the last location this very three rocks build a formation. Unfortunately a fellow human has taken the center rock of this set away from its companions.
I was in vain searching for a long time to get it back. I found peace after frustration considering it as a donation to the place which is so important to me, even I could not trust my eyes when I came around the corner and saw this magic falls again after 4 years.
It has changed a lot, now over run by tourist's it lost a bit of its charm, but at the end of my visit I still got some nice images and a worthy end of this set. We will miss you, center rock, hahaha....
On my last day up here we been back in Banaue where I tuck the three rocks for a walk, yea thats right we adopted a new rock to come travel with us. Not yet sure if its only temporary ... time will tell.
A little on the go teaching session happened as well when I was caugt balancing a few rocks from a buildingside on the road
