Back on Formosa I spend many days in the Dakeng Mountains outside of Taichung city. I loved the rocky valleys around here, it seams that the first mountain range behind Taichung are entirely made up by sediments which been turned into new mountains by erosion.
This is also the time I start balancing rocks and therefore I am more and more attracted by rocky landscapes, the diversity here is really attractive and extraordinary.
One day I wanted to Build a Inukshuk in a isolated valley I saw before from the mountain top. I actually made all the way to that very spot even it was quite a trek trough high grass and scrub. Even a massive snake was on the way, but it was way more afraid than I was and I was scared at first.
I collected flat rocks for quite a while and start building the next edition, unfortunately it collapsed before I really reached where I wanted to go with that one. My plan was to return which I never did, who knows maybe one day....
